Hi, my name is Sonia and I live in Porto, a beautiful city in the North of Portugal. I am the author behind menina do mar. I make soft sculpture dolls and other imagined creatures and objects using a combination of new and recycled materials as well as found objects.

Everything is designed and hand crafted by myself using a mix media approach, so there’s drawing, painting, sewing and sculpting involved. My creations are one of a kind and made with great care and attention to details and materials.
